Flowing Water Wave

Protect Your Water.
Stay Compliant. Keep It Simple.

If you received a backflow testing notice, you may feel unsure about what it means. Many homeowners in Clarkston only hear about backflow testing when a letter arrives from the city or township. We understand that moment—you want clear answers and a plan that doesn't disrupt your day.

We provide residential and commercial backflow testing in Clarkston, Michigan 48348 and the surrounding areas. We focus on clear communication, fair pricing, and full paperwork handling. Our job is to protect your water supply and help you meet local requirements without the stress.

Efficient, Contactless Service

We have built our process to be as fast and unobtrusive as possible. A standard backflow test typically takes about 15 minutes. To keep our service efficient and maintain a contactless system, we ask that homeowners follow these simple steps:

  1. Make a Copy: Please make a photocopy of your test form prior to our arrival. Since we must submit the original to the municipality, this ensures you have a copy for your own records.

  2. The Ziploc Method: Place your test form and payment in a Ziploc bag and leave it in a designated spot (like the front door or the device itself).

This system allows us to complete the work without you needing to answer the door or pause your morning routine, keeping the process moving quickly for everyone

Backflow Testing and Certification

Backflow occurs when water moves in the wrong direction, potentially allowing contaminants to enter the clean water line. A backflow prevention device stops this from happening.

While commercial properties and specialized residential applications (like swimming pools, sump pumps, or irrigation with chemical injection) usually require annual testing, most standard residential irrigation devices in our area are on a 3 or 5-year cycle, depending on your specific municipality.

We test all types of devices, including the RPZ (Reduced Pressure Zone) valves. We connect our calibrated equipment, check the internal springs and seals, and record the readings to ensure your property meets safety codes.

Minor Repairs and Retesting Policy

If a device fails, many companies will simply mark it as "failed," charge you, and leave—forcing you to schedule a second visit and pay a second testing fee. We do things differently.

  • Under $20: If your device requires minor repair parts totaling less than $20, we will replace them on the spot and retest the device at no extra cost. We do not seek prior approval for these small amounts to ensure the job is finished in one visit; we simply ask that the homeowner reimburses us for the cost of the parts.

  • Over $20: If the repair requires more expensive parts, we will contact you for approval first. In these cases, a return visit may be necessary, and a second testing fee would apply.

Our goal is to solve the issue during the initial 15-minute window whenever possible, saving you from repeat service calls and extra certification fees.

Additional Services:
Cut & Cap or Replacement

  • Cut and Cap Service: If you have stopped using your sprinkler system and want to stop receiving testing notices, we can "cut and cap" the line according to code. We update the records with the city so they know the device is decommissioned.

  • Device Replacement: If a device is too old or damaged to repair, we can install a new, approved unit. We remove the old unit, install the new one to Clarkston code, test it, and submit the new certification paperwork all in one visit.

We Handle the Paperwork

You shouldn't have to stand in line at city offices or worry about mailing forms. After the test is complete, we prepare the certification report and submit it directly to the municipality for you. We track the deadlines so you don't have to.
